Information on how we process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR.

Ignorance of the rules is no excuse!

1. Privacy at a Glance

General Information: The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website and use our hosting services. Personal data is any data that can be used to personally identify you.

Data Controller: The responsible party processes your data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations (GDPR).

2. Data Collection & Processing

2.1. Orders & Payment Processing: To fulfill your contract, we collect necessary information such as your email address, IP address, and billing details. Payment processing is handled securely via the external provider Stripe, PayPal and Swish. We do not store complete credit card details on our own servers.

2.2. Server Log Files: Our infrastructure automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser automatically transmits. This includes: IP address, date and time of request, pages visited, browser type, and operating system. This data is collected pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to ensure stable operation and protection against cyberattacks.

3. Server Locations & Backups

3.1. Data Storage in the EU: Our infrastructure is hosted on secure servers within the EU (Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and Amsterdam, Netherlands), ensuring a high level of data protection fully compliant with GDPR.

3.2. Automatic Backups: To ensure service reliability, up to three automatic backups are stored on an external S3 backup server in Germany. When your agreement ends, these backups are deleted automatically and permanently.

4. Game Servers and Data Responsibility

Customer Responsibility: If you run a game server or website with us and process personal data about your own players or visitors (e.g. IP addresses in log files or usernames), you are the "Data Controller". We act only as a technical infrastructure provider.

5. Your Rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Request access (Art. 15 GDPR): Obtain information about which personal data we process about you.
  • Rectify data (Art. 16 GDPR): Have incorrect or incomplete data corrected.
  • Delete data (Art. 17 GDPR): Have your data erased (the "right to be forgotten").
  • Restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR): Request that processing of your data is limited.
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR): Withdraw any consent given at any time.

6. No Resale of Personal Data

We never sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Sharing occurs only with necessary subprocessors to operate your service (e.g. Stripe for payments) or when required by law.
